Community Gardening

Community Gardening continues to be one of TWICS projects, with our community gardener Pippa taking the winter months to plan for the new growing season.  A particular idea is to experiment with ‘mini meadows’ starting out in Harefield, to encourage wildlife diversity on a long and wide roadside strip which is currently just mown grass, but which has great potential to develop as  ‘pollinator hotspots’.   We have the necessary permissions in place and are now seeking some funding to buy plants and use the space to see what might work.
